I'd like to see Bond win a second weekend but it probably won't happen.

Peacock is gonna rack up higher numbers than Michael’s lifetime body count.

Halloween probably would've had a genuine shot at clearing $55M without Peacock, oh well.

I am surprised that they released it on Peacock on the same day however Peacock is not that big of a service that I don’t think it’s gonna take away much from the box office but if they wanted to release it for at home or digitally as well they could’ve waited until like Halloween weekend and at least gave theaters some exclusivity

Do enough people have Peacock for it to have much of an effect? Maybe the piracy will be higher, but I don't see people watching it on Peacock in great enough numbers to change the box office by more than a couple million dollars.

Aren’t most of those free subscriptions which would not have access to the movie? Also 54 million subs but 20 million active monthly users also points to a lot of them being free accounts people don’t use much.

I just shared what I found. The services itself is pretty bad.

I find Peacock pretty useful and the ads are minimal. $5 seems like a bargain.

Was watching Columbo on it! Recommend it for that at the least!

and this

Quote:
The company did not break down the number of subscribers that have signed up for Peacock’s free ad-supported tier or its premium streaming service.
Sounds like anyone that installed that app to watch for free is being permanently counted as a subscriber. 54 million subs and only 20 mill active with no numbers as to how many are paying for a premium package. Comes across like a carefully worded press release designed to inflate the perception of how successful their product is. I'll stand by my guess that not enough people have the required premium tier of the service for it to affect Halloween Kills box office by more than a couple million.

I sometimes load it to watch WWE. The lack of universal movies and shows not on there is pretty sad.

Paid subs are low, but they're obviously expecting more sign-ups for people to watch Halloween or they wouldn't be putting it there.

https://www.fiercevideo.com/video/de...-extremely-low

The analyst firm estimated that Peacock has just 3 million paid domestic subscribers (as of March 31, 2021) and over one-third of them come in from Apple and Roku, which could be taking around 20% thanks to revenue sharing agreements.

Peacock Premium is included with Xfinity cable or internet service. So millions of people definitely have access to it.

Also Premium is only $4.99, which is cheaper than the cost of seeing it in theaters unless you have a theater subscription. After it was announced that it would go to streaming a lot of members here were saying in the Kills thread, “cool, well I’ll just watch it at home on Peacock then”.

We’ll just have to wait and see what effect (if any) it has on the box office.

I know I voted a close call. But another part of me feels it won't. And peacock will be it's ultimate demise. But i could be wrong.

I currently have just the free Peacock tier, I'm considering the $4.99 for HK. I would've probably skipped it in theaters anyway, just not really a fan of these.
