the movement animation is too generic, it's like they copy-pasted another game's animation (maybe modern Kratos'?)

Looks like it just got pushed two months. Will now be releasing on 22 Nov. I would have pushed it further. You have COD and GoW coming out around the same time.

I like the action style and 3rd person view. Also cool he was fighting in broad daylight instead of everything at night, so that helps.

Not sure what the level structure will be like, but the game seems original with the western theme for a change. Not a ton of western games lately.

Reminds me of Karl Urban with his top hat in the movie Priest, where he played an evil Old West Vampire; Black Hat. I'd bet the developers were definitely inspired by that film.

At least it's still coming out this year though but was described as God of War but with guns i personally can't wait until this one though look's fun.

I'm fine with the animations/movement being a bit generic as long as its not tank controls, and it doesn't look like it from the extended trailer that I watched about half of.

I wasn't really following the game until now, but it does look like it should be a lot of fun if it turns ok to be good. Like some people said in the comments section, it reminds me somewhat of old gen games from a couple of gens ago.

The release date is puzzling, but maybe they actually needed the two months to iron some things out rather than release it buggy and then patch it in two months. You never know. Maybe I'll get this instead of God of War Ragnarok. I'm one of the few people in the world that didn't think the first one was the greatest PlayStation game ever (or at least on PS4).

Evil West looks interesting and the western theme with high tech weapons is kind of unique. It definitely looks like a survival action genre game.

It's getting really good reviews. Lots of folks are saying that it's a great throwback to older games. It was on my list to pick up and play but after the delay, it will have to wait till I finish up GoW. This might be a good filler until Hogwarts Legacy comes out in Feb

Yes, I'm hearing the game play is fun even though the enemies repeat often. The visuals look great.

I personally only came across this recently and think it looks great and it's actually priced well for a game getting really well reviewed. I would say this truly does deserve the money and support of gamer sales over something like Gotham Knights.

Personally have way too many games to buy, but 100% on my list to now buy. Co-Op online i believe with a friend is the icing on the cake.

I tried to buy this when it released but Target didnt carry it for some reason so I didnt get it. BF sales happened soon after so now I have some stuff I want to play first. Maybe a price drop will happen by then.

Keeping in mind, Evil West is a more linear survival action game.
Gotham Knights is an open city adventure beat 'em up game.
So both games could fit into a gamer's library since they don't directly compete in the same genre.

But yes, this looks original and has a fun tone to it.

The character being positioned slightly left of center & seeing 3/4 of the upper body sans the lower legs (except when running) reminded me of Gears of War.

I see what you're saying, in that this is also a bulky looking character with all that gear on too, and he's facing strong monsters.
