Is that a boxset or individual releases?

I own two of those on BD. Not too bad, I guess. As far as wasting money. Trouble with Harry would look gorgeous. Hope it's true.

The Trouble with Harry is my most-wanted Hitchcock UHD, so I hope this is true.

For some reason when I read the thread title I was like “wait did they find some unused footage or something” thinking it was literally “new Hitchcock movies” haha

I love the trouble with Harry, it’s one of my top 3 Hitchcock’s so I’ll definitely be getting that one if this actually happens.

Strangers On A Train is with Warners, not Universal.

But yes, Strangers in 4K would look amazing.

Oh man, this thread made me realize how far behind I am at watching the films in my Hitchcock Masterpiece Collection set. I still haven’t even seen The Trouble With Harry or Saboteur. I should get on that. Loved Shadow of a Doubt though, nice to hear it’s getting the 4K treatment.

Digital Bits is reporting more titles:

Quote:
This batch is expected to include Saboteur (1942), Shadow of a Doubt (1943), Marnie (1964), The Trouble with Harry (1955), To Catch a Thief (1955), and Family Plot (1976). Remastering on all on all of them is apparently complete. Note that To Catch a Thief is a Paramount title here in the States, so expect it to come from them on their own schedule. The others would seem likely to be released as an Alfred Hitchcock Classics Collection: Volume 2 box set by Universal here in the States, but we’ll have to wait and see.

These are definitely weaker Hitchcock titles for me. Why anyone would want "Family Plot" over "Frenzy" or "Torn Curtain" is beyond me. "Harry" is fine, but not compared to "Rope" or "The Man Who Knew Too Much".

All Hitchcocks welcome. Instead of Harry & Family, my preference would have been Frenzy and Rope, but all is good If these sell well, we'll probably get the rest (Topaz, Torn Curtain, The Man Who Knew Too Much). I guess they'll do 5 and 5 for the remaining sets, which is understandable since none of the remaining ones are as hugely popular as the initial 4 they released.

Maybe they're working on a 3rd set and they have to leave some good titles for that one too.

Belongs in WISHLIST until an official announcement.

More Hitch on 4K is always a good thing! These transfers should look solid. I don't know what's taking Warner so long with North By Northwest, which is probably my most wanted 4K. All they'd have to do is upscale their old transfer and give it an HDR pass right?

The Trouble with Harry is gonna look like no trouble at all. What a gorgeous film, cant wait! Im a little befuddled though at the lack of NxNW.
