Hi! Maybe it's just me, but I don't understand your question. Maybe you want to write it in French and somebody else can translate it (I know we have a couple of French members that are fluid in both languages).

And welcome

I have a similar setup currently and my monitor has the same resolution as yours. I have not been successful getting it to display in anything higher than 720p - not even 1080i. Sorry.

PowerDVD *should* allow you to play the Blu-ray at whatever size you wish.
I can play Blu-ray Discs and resize the player as small as a postcard or maximize it to full screen.

Black bars might be coming from the Blu-ray disc itself.
1.78:1 aspect ratio will fit a 16:9 screen without black bars.
1.85:1 aspect ratio will have small black bars top and bottom.
2.35:1 aspect ratio will have bigger black bars top and bottom.

See here:

This is Cars. It has an aspect ratio of 2.39:1
It will display on a 16:9 screen with black bars on top and bottom.

This is a 1.78:1 Blu-ray - fits the screen fully without black bars.

This is a 1.85:1 Blu-ray - it has small black bars top and bottom.

This is a 2.35:1 Blu-ray - it has bigger black bars top and bottom.

It is all in how the movie was filmed.

Here is a thread explaining it:

Ok I understand !
But i have two big questions :
1) If i have a 16/9 full hd 1080p, do i see this bars ?
2) Do the movie adapts at my screen ? or i see 720p or 1080p ?

Thanks for your help.

Yes. The bars are there because of the movies aspect ratio.
The pictures above are at 1920x1080 - 1080p. Click them.

1080 is how many lines of resolution the screen can display.
If your screen does not have 1080 lines(or more) it cannot display at 1080.
The disc should still play no problem - even when maximized to full screen.

The bars are part of the aspect ratio... you will see them on any movie with an aspect ratio higher than 1.78:1 on all 16:9 screens.

Your screen will be close to 1080.
How is the computer connected to the screen?
What brand and model of screen?
If the screen is not HDCP compliant, there may be a playback problem.
