He wasn't there. But Danny Kaye was (SVP Technology and Research Strategy at Twentieth Century Fox) and he did say it.

Danny said that, in the North American market, the following is forecast for 2008.

10 million Blu-ray players sold (PS3 + standalones)
40 million Blu-ray discs sold
$1 Billion of revenue generated (movie sales)

It was a bit weird that the article has something in the headline that is not referenced in the article itself.
