Wonder if that is part of the reason, not to mention places are now over flowing with returned 3 series cards and new stock of cards that no one wants or needs now. Good luck pushing cards that can't fit in most cases and requires top end platinum rated power supply's at a time when energy cost will be skyrocketing.

I will be making the move to a 3 series soon as prices continue to drop, might even take a chance in the secondary market, my 1070 is still working though.

EVGA gonna go AMD just watch. AMD popularity will skyrocket once EVGA starts making their cards.

I don't think this matters. If you want an NVIDIA graphics unit, why not just get the actual NVIDIA one? The only difference with the EVGA ones is they look different.

Because EVGA has pretty good customer support, shame to see them step away from nvidia cards. I don't mind the founders nvidia line as that is what i have been using for the last 5 years or so now, just that you can find a bit better deals and the coolers are usually better on the evga brand cards imo.

I always buy from evga because of their customer service. Anytime I have had a card go bad they have always taken care of it quickly.

EVGA was with Nvidia since day one that Nvidia started in the GPU game. That's really messed up on Nvidia's part to do EVGA dirty. If they would do that to a partner that have been with since practically the beginning, who's to say the wouldn't do it to the any of the other partners? EVGA has stated they won't make any GPU's at all (so them doing any AMD cards option isn't on the table). With that said, if I was AMD, I would do nearly whatever it takes for them to join their side (basically ask them what it would take for them to start making AMD cards).

I'm not gonna miss them. I built a few machines for people in the early/mid 2000s using EVGA main boards and they were all crap. Littered with BIOS and POST issues, even after multiple firmware updates.

Yeah they've come a long way since then, and I agree they have great customer service, but add to the above the one purchase I made for myself which was a GTX 1070 that died on me within a couple of years due to a design defect hasn't given me a reason to trust their products.

Their bread and butter was GPU's. They are going to be missed.

Yep, I never said otherwise. I've just had a string of bad experiences, and the GTX 1070 was the kicker. I'm not saying they are a bad company and/or make bad products, my experience just makes me steer clear of them.
