Default Who here works at a Blu-ray retailer?

So, I see that a lot of people on here work at Target. I decided to put a poll together and see how many people here work at a major retailer. So please vote and comment on where you work.

I work at Target as a Target Protection Specialist.

Ah crap. The title of the thread is supposed to be let the people of retail speak. Not let the people or retail speak......

Many, many years ago (about 10), I worked at CompUSA selling hardware. Before I left there, DVD was just starting to become big, I am glad I am out of there now of course, and glad to be out of retail. But it was a very fun and rewarding experience in retrospect.

If you edit your original post and then click on the "go advanced" button you should be able to change the title. Also try deleting your second post.

Is Target Protection Specialist another fancy name for Asset protection or Loss Prevention?

I worked at Sears 10+ years ago as an Asset Protection Agent. Working retail sucks because of the crappy schedules and hours. I'm glad I don't have to work on weekends.

I worked at Target for almost 5 years, then went to Best Buy for almost 3. That was over 8 years ago though, which makes me feel old....

I was Cart Attendant for 6 months at Target, but got smart and moved to softgoods right before winter (in Chicago). At best Buy I was Merch Team (my fav) and then SWAT (setting up new stores, not a heavy police unit).

I work at a place in Canada called London Drugs. Despite the name, we have an extensive electronics department. That is the department where I work.

HD TVs, Blu-ray players, Onkyo receivers, Klipsch speakers, Monster accessories, the works. I love it because I always get what I need/want at cost.

We also sell the HD DuDs, but I've stopped recommending them to anybody since I bought my Blu-ray player. I've just about got all my co-workers on the same page too.

EDIT:
I just had a look at our website, and I just realized we don't show any Blu-ray players or Onkyo Receivers on there... Strange, we sell them in the store.

I don't work in retail but I cringed when clicking the "Retail ....yuk!" selection. Without retail workers this country would be in a hige mess. I don't work in it but that doesn't mean I don't respect those that do.

Can't you change that last selection to "I don't work in retail?"

I work at Best Buy part time in Media. I get to stock all the new releases after the store closes Monday nights when I work. It's cool being able to see all the new Blu-ray movies in the warehouse sometimes 1-2 weeks before they are released.

I work in the backroom of a Target while going to college. I don't really have to deal with customers and I get to use the heavy equipment. I also get to look at the blu-rays in the electronics closet. =)

With all the BBuy employees, we should be able to find out quick if support is dwindling for HDDVD.
