More HK the better I say, and all three have Anthony Wong who is probably the best actor for these type of films.

Didn't Steve Vai write the theme song for one of these?

oh Man, 90's Hong Kong horror/trash I see from the screenshots on VS's site the actor from Bio Zombie who plays Sushi Boy. Could Bio Zombie get a region A release soon ?

What are the chances thoses might get a region B from 88 ? I don't want to miss out on those but I've been buying ALL ''88 Asia'' releases (they are why I went region free and got back into collecting a bit) and I really don't care to double dip on movies, even when I miss out on extras.

I feel like I should probably get the VS either way since this is a 'volume 1' of a collection. I suppose I can't assume all titles that may be added to that collection would get standalone (or sets) releases from 88 and others.

Three movies with extras on a 2-disc set. Sounds a bit cheap!

Has anyone seen any of these films?

I am considering a blind buy but a bit hesitant. I generally don't care for most of what Vinegar Syndrome release. However I did have an absolute blast with Ebola Syndrome (much to my surprise) so this release has definitely piqued my interest.

Having said that Ebola Syndrome seems to get much more favourable reviews than the titles included here.

I wondered if anyone could make any comments in regards to the films themselves?

Also being region B myself perhaps these might be getting a similar release in the UK from 88films then even though this is region free I can save on shipping costs. Packaging looks super on this release having said that.

This actually looks like a really fun set. I'm hoping to pick it up at some point down the road...

I've seen Deadly Camp on an HK DVD and it's marketed as a slasher but in reality, it's a re-make of the HK film "The Beast" with Anthony Wong. That said I enjoyed it for what it was, but it's not as good as say Ebola Syndrome.

Shipping is $18 so just get this during a sale where you can combine multiple orders & only pay P+P once.

That is what I am thinking, I haven't purchased anything in this sale yet though.

I have been tempted by a couple of the $10 titles but ultimately for 1 or 2 titles I don't think it is worth it when you add in shipping.

This was the only thing I preordered. I wonder what’s going to be in Vol 2?

Of course you got your wish.

I welcomed this set, having only seen Deadly Camp before. The films are what they are - not the best Cat III has to offer in any regard, but definitely fun if you're a fan.

Have had this for about a week, but haven't a chance to watch any because have had a stockpile of films come in, but should have some time over the course of the next few days. The more Anthony Wong the better and all of three of these have him!

I'm sure I'll be happy with it, since I enjoy Bio Zombie a lot, and I've enjoyed the stuff like "Black Magic" 1 and 2 that 88Films have put out. I ordered the Made in Hong Kong standard edition from Wowhd after all, to save some cash. I think I can live without the slipcover.

Deadly Camp looked to me like the weakest film from the collection. Are you able to rate it, compared to Bio Zombie ? Is it comparable to anything else ?

The three in this set are a bit blander, they're Wong Jing productions. I think Deadly Camp may have the most novelty value but it's not strong in terms of gore or sleaze. Bio Zombie definitely has more of an identity. These are all watchably sleazy and fun, but they're not on the level of Untold Story or Ebola Syndrome etc.

Watched Deadly Camp and Erotic Nightmare and enjoyed both of them. Deadly Camp is like a HK production of Friday the 13th, but with less gore. Still, it was a fun film despite feeling very cheap. Erotic Nightmare was like a sexual Nightmare on Elm Street or Dreamscape. Lots of sex and perverted dreams with a few decent kills. I didn't like that a certain character gets taken out 2/3 of the way through the film, but still actually enjoyed it. Now to watch The Demon's Baby.

Haha, that's one of the things I liked most about it!

I legit enjoy all three films of the set -- none of them will be mistaken for classics, but they're all solid, funky little movies.

Hold the presses! I just watched The Demon's Baby in this set and honestly I can't believe how much I loved this one! One of the better HK films I've seen in years. It has comedy, violence, and pretty much everything you would want from a film like this. It has a lot of Evil Dead II vibes, and in the end I honestly felt like it was one of the more entertaining films I've seen in a bit. While it takes a while to get to where it needs to go, once it gets there, everything goes out of control. I didn't know this film existed until VS announced it, but man I'm glad they released it. This one was great.
