Awesome! Wondering if they’ll be widescreen and if interviews being ported from DVD release. Keeping my Party Nerds Toga Bash Double Feature.

Since this info isn't provided (Grrr):
Assault of the Party Nerds is 1989 and the sequel was made 6 years later, in 1995. No info on IMDB on whether these were shot on film or video I like movies like these. Insta buys if these were filmed and transferred from film. |

I enjoyed Vol.1 but since sold it, it has really been that long since this was announced. I watched the trailer for this and don't vibe it very much. Hot Under the Collar was probably a better movie than Virgin High was, but the sequel in this looks suspect to me, so it's a SD digital tape presentation only on the second movie? The soundtrack CD is a nice touch, the tracklist shows songs from the Vol.1 movies which is really cool. I will probably pass on this because I'd watch these once and flip it, but I have a feeling this will be rare in the future.

My copy arrived as well! Hoping this line continues. I wonder what else they could release for additional volumes of Late Night Classics. Any suggestions?

It's unfortunate that these two are currently stuck on VHS and extremely hard to find. It would be amazing to see them lovingly restored by Culture Shock with a soundtrack CD as a bonus! I know Dave Powell wanted to officially release his songs but unfortunately passed away in 2020 before it could happen. |

Welcome To 18 (1986) would make a great release. The soundtrack was a limited release on vinyl back in the day and it neglects a song or two that were actually included in the movie. If you've ever seen this movie, you know what a time capsule it is for the mid 80s. The music is well-toned for the scenes and the songs very much hidden gems that really make the movie stand out. One song would ultimately go to Go-Go's soloist Jane Wiedlin on her debut album. Add to that a coming-of-age drama with some comic relief and a boat chase that must be seen. ![]() Malibu Bikini Shop (1986) is a much sought-after 80s sex comedy cult classic that is deperate for a new-to-disc release. Another movie which, if you've seen it, you'll know what I mean by killer 80s soundtrack, songs that never made it to a release of any kind but stick with you. Most-recently, a youtuber actually got in touch with the producer and they were able to release most of the songs on youtube with the exception of 1 lost gem. One of the songs made it onto Sheena Easton's album but is performed by Diana DeWitt who you may recognise from a song included in Night Of The Comet. It's a really fun movie with an actual story and point to it. Very colorful and a fun repeated watch. Really hoping someone releases this one soon. With all these other movies coming out, I don't see why this one hasn't been given the BD treatment. It's far better than all the other sex comedies that have a release. Aside from these, I think it would be fun to see some of the Private Screenings movies come to this series for Culture Shock. Marilyn Chambers and Amy Lynn Baxter have a handful of fun late night offerings that would fit this boutique label nicely. Last edited by RetroRobert; 03-04-2025 at 08:22 PM. Reason: typo |

Some screenshots of the first film, around 1:11:00 there are some vertical purple streaks that show up in random shots for a few minutes, I assume they're damage inherent to the source (last image.)
