Default Should Half Life 2: Ep 3 be a downloadable on PSN?

I mean think about it, the story is not over. (spoiler comin' up) Remember at the end when Eli got his brains sucked out when those Advisor things came crashing in. We still haven't got around to the Borealis ship. I feel that HL2: Ep3 should be available for download on not just Stream, but XBL and PSN. It would be a great way to finish the HL2 story. Well they should do that or they should've held off the Orange Box till Ep 3 was launched. what would you say about that?

I think ep 3 should come out with TF3 and Portal Online Arena, in something called THE PURPLE BOX!

Matters how well they build the infrastructure of the game.

See the PC version also supports mods, but the console versions
don't. The infrastructure just isn't there for those versions.

Valve did alot of work to put the infrastructure to not download directly
from the servers but inside the game to allow for new content.

Course we won't know till Episode 3 is out...

Good luck getting Gabe Newell, the bastion of Microsoft Fanboyism, to agree to putting anything of his on the PSN.

Gabe is definitely a PC fanboy, but his ties to Microsoft are through and through. Valve and Half-Life were basically founded and funded from his Microsoft millions. I've never heard him say anything bad about the 360, but regardless, he inherently supports anything Microsoft infinitely more than Sony.

The fact that he ensured Orange Box would be ported to 360 first-hand, then passed off the PS3 version to the worst party imaginable was just a slap in the face. And then he said the PS3 was a "waste of everyone's time."

For those reasons and those alone, I doubt you'll see any of his content on PSN unless he is paid handsomely.

Oh, I'd kill that fat slob if he brings Ep3 to XBL and not PSN, but didn't he say somethin' that he would make games for the PS3 when Valve are ready?

It was in a large article a long time ago, and everywhen just seems to forget everything else he said, and just takes the words he said about sony, and deletes the anti Microsoft resentment.

I guess everyone has been brainwashed again. I do remeber reading the original article I was pissed but for different reasons, I use to respect Gabe till that day.

I've always loved Half Life. Both 1 and 2 are significant achievements in terms of gaming. I will play Ep. 3 and any further continuations of the series, but I have nothing but distaste for Gabe Newell and his holier-than-thou Valve operation.

True, his actions have extremely modified my views of the world, and of Valves.
The accomplishment of the source engine and the tools they released when HL2 came out really drew my excitement in life again, but this was a extreme blow, I don't think I will be able to love again.
