This one always had the worst PQ - pumped up contrast and everything was soooo red. but I understand it was the director's intent that the grain be intense.

Does anyone know if any of these discs were remastered from new sources?

All 3 Ocean’s movies look great in 4K, definitely reference quality.

Ive only seen 13, but it looks pretty bad to me. HEAVY dnr. I know some people don't mind but I compared back to back layered directly on top of each other and the brand new 4K blu is noticeably softer than the old VC-1 encoded blu. Given the VC-1 encode comes in around 15gb and the 4K HEVC blu is over 60, the fact that the latter is softer isn't acceptable to me. The reviewer who reviewed this release on here forgot to mention this as well. Whether the dnr bothers you or not is of course up to whomever is watching, but i certainly think it's worth noting. The color is noticeably better though. It's a little less red than the VC-1 with slightly reduced contrast. Still overly warm for me but slightly better. Im sadly sticking to my VC-1 blu as much of a bummer as it is. I haven't compared 11 or 12 yet so i can't say how those compare but since they were all supervised im gonna guess it's the same deal. Hopefully im wrong.

No shipping notification on the 4K Oceans movies from Amazon yet. Still says will be delivered today, but the website says out of stock.

Where’s your screenshots? Isn’t that how you fools show proof of DNR? I think Ocean’s 11 looked the best, the others look well very old school, but hardly any grain but how do you think it’s the dreaded DNR! I don’t buy it or this thread would go crazy! This post feels like oh there’s hardly any grain so it’s “heavy” DNR.

You just described what dnr is. All the grain/noise has been scrubbed from this release that we know to be on the original film. Im not setting out to prove you wrong im simply letting people who care know because im one of those people. Im sorry you were offended. I will be checking out 11 and 12 as well maybe they aren't as bad im not sure.

11 and 12 looked fantastic. 13 looks weirdly smeared. I don’t get it.

This is 100% correct. I just finished watching the UHD versions of the trilogy, I just had to check the review here- surely I wasn't the only one who noticed the garbage DNR job done to Ocean's Thirteen.

I don't see how the reviewer could possibly give the video quality a 4.5. Even if DNR doesn't bother you that much, it's an objective fact that this version is considerably softer and more smeary looking than previous BD editions.

Like others have pointed out here, Eleven and Twelve look fantastic. Thirteen looks like smeared dog shite. The colors and HDR are pretty good, but they definitely dropped the ball introducing that awful heavy DNR.
