I got the same thing with fuzzy dots. From what I'm thinking, this movie is older than dust and there was no possible way on making it perfect. Enter The Dragon was made back when laser disc was around has been transferred many times to a higher format and wears out over time

Some of the problems with this movie look to me like filtering that has been applied during the encoding process; temporal smoothing, dynamic noise reduction, whatever you want to call it, but you can see the grain partially frozen from frame to frame rather than being random each frame. I'm sure they could do a much better version of this movie if it were released on Blu-ray at a higher bitrate without the filtering (rather than the current version which is basically an HD DVD encode slapped onto a Blu-ray disc).

This was an early effort by Warner that just doesn't hold up to newer releases. Like the first Full Metal Jacket release and several other early Warner releases, it is sourced from a 1080i master(technically it is a bobbed and weaved source). I imagine that it will look much better when Warner reissues this title in the future.

Normally, we just call them White Fuzzy Dots. Did Warner add those black bars to this title too?

"Screen Pops", maybe a lame transfer. What was good enough for DUD sure aint good enough for blu.

I personally thought that it looked like DNR'd sh*t. One of my friends is a big fan of this movie, he was also unhappy with Warner's presentation. Checking the reviews for this disc shows practically no negative views on the PQ, when it's quite clearly a crap job. Anyone else find it not up to snuff?

I thought the technical term was 'sparklies'?--or were you being sarcastic with the whole 'we just call it white fuzzy dots?'

I too saw some instances of what appeared to be heavy DNR in this transfer, especially in the earlier scenes, which wasn't at all evident on the first dvd release (the 25th anniversary edition). However, that particular dvd transfer had horrible print damage, artifacting, and color issues, which is why I think they re-released it. Considering the package Warner put together on this current release, I'd be shocked to see them re-release it again with a new transfer, though I agree the film probably could look better.

Has anyone compared it to the Hong Kong release (non-Warner) which was from a different master?

People who have seen both say it's about the same as the WB release. I believe it doesn't include the original soundtrack either.

Sadly, especially considering how saturated this title already is in the market with all the prior dvd releases, it's probably as good as we're likely to get it.

I bought this movie as it has been a long time since I last watched it.
My gid it's a DNR nightmare. They really need to remaster this classic.
