Uncover the origins of organized crime in Mafia: The Old Country, a gritty mob story set in the brutal underworld of 1900s Sicily.
Fight to survive in this dangerous and unforgiving era, with action brought to life by the authentic realism and rich storytelling that the critically acclaimed Mafia series is known for. |

I enjoyed 1,2,3, and definitive edition of 1. 3 had too much open world busy work to get through the game, but I got into that lizard brain mode of clearing everything on the map. The story was worth it.
Definitive Edition gives me hope this will be more like the first 2. The setting is very interesting and fresh. I was expecting them to head into the 80s for a Goodfella style game. |

Mafia 1 Definitive Edition was good, although buggy with glitches sometimes. Nice city to explore though. The motorcycles were a nice addition.
Mafia 2 Definitive Edition, much better on PS4 than my old PS3 version. Went from blurry, jagged edged 720p to 1080p and looks great on PS5. That is an awesome game and I still play it. Mafia 3, fun Driver-like game if Driver series still existed. Muscle cars of the 1970s. Lincoln was a tough character. Good game despite some flaws. Mafia 4: Old Country. Cool! I was just thinking about the Mafia series while going through my games library. Hanger 29 (Hanger #?) is a good developer as they put a lot of detail into the pedestrians to make the city feel a bit more interactive. I like the detail of the buildings, and in Mafia 3, you could go into most buildings which was amazing. This could be great. I hope there are at least decent cars and motorcycles of the early 1900s this game Mafia 4 will take place in. December 2024 a new trailer it sounds like. Good. Maybe a Fall 2025 Mafia 4 release date it sounds like, to compete with GTA6. They should aim for Spring. |

I'd also like a day/night cycle finally in this series, but this developer seems very much against it like Insomniac Games is for their Marvel Spider-Man PS games. Yeah, Rockstar should've made DLC in Undead Nightmare that allowed for drivi9ng that town car just sitting there. Same for RDR2. Still no cars in that game. Of course then I'd be wondering about the first airplanes, but that was years later. In real life, I've been on jets, but if I can help it, I no longer want to fly on those giant pieces of heavy metal parts, but mostly cause the landing is very painful pressure to my ears when the pilot descends too fast which is most times. ( don't know how those Fighter Jet Pilots can handle all that air pressure plus the G Forces. |

So it's definitely possible for a game set in the early 1900s, although they might look different than people are used to if they tried to be historically accurate. |

I wouldn't mind if this game had boats and let the player swim too. Something not in the series yet. And working Tram Trolley Train carts you could enter, like in Watch Dogs 1. They have Trains in Mafia 1 Definitive Remake, but they're off limits. Yeah, it looks good. If Hangar 13 can have the game mostly polished like Mafia Definitive Edition (except for some bad glitched cutscenes where the Mafia guy was firing his machine gun out of the front hood of the car), that would be great. Mafia 3's main issue from the disc version, is that the clothes on the people walking would flicker badly and it ruined the immersion until it really needed an update. Otherwise, no big issues. |

If this one is more like the original/DE/Mafia 2 I'm okay with that too. 2 had an incredibly strong and compelling narrative with great characters. I'll take either. At this point there's not many crime games like this on the market. |

absolute must-buy for sure. I adored Mafia 1 and 2. And even the 3rd game was pretty cool, even if it was way too long for its own good and waaaaaay to buggy at launch. I hope with the new game they really make sure it's polished enough before they release it. The graphical glitches and bugs were often hilarious but I could have lived without them too.
