The Mist will be released in late March. Will Weinstein jump on the Blu ship and release The Mist on Blu Ray?

I was SO disappointed to realize that this was a Weinstein release and would not be on HDM at all. They NEED an HD version of this. Best horror flick in YEARS.

Yeah... its pretty sucky when a studio doesnt release ANY kind of high def version of a movie. Now if I buy it on DVD and several months later it gets Blu treatment im screwed

This discussion is academic now, considering what happened. The Mist may not get day and date, but it'll get to be on BD for sure.

it was coming out on blu ray in europe but weinsteins blocked alot of titles from being released on blu ray until they got a high def release in the states still 1408 came out on blu ray and hd dvd so there might still be hope for the mist.

The Mist and 1408 were great interpretations of Stephen King's stories. I love how both are creepy without using extreme measures (maybe The Mist was extreme in some points). Sucks that both are distributed by Weinstein. Hopefully, they'll fall in line of the Blu-Ray domino effect.
