I'm getting the VS release in my sub box so I'm all set, but goddamn does this Imprint artwork kick the VS artwork's ass.

Even as an Aussie, I trust VS a lot more than Imprint when it comes to quality control and encoding

VS has **** artwork now, and they have had it for awhile, I don't know how to describe it but it's like an ugly idgaf about aesthetics neo hipster thing on every film. Not saying this will be a better disc, but I'd rather get this than scalped on the Bay

I kinda dig VS artwork. It's minimalism but it's still interesting and well designed (as opposed to a lot of amateur minimalist slop out there). It's a point of difference specific to their releases. It suits their brand, unlike when a big studio tries (and fails) to do it.

I much prefer it over the ugly 'maximalist' stuff that Shout Factory pump out at any rate.

But Shout gives OG cover art on almost everything except Steelbooks. VinSyn has some of the ugliest art in movies. Existenz and Little Darlings are laughable imo.

You could wait a few weeks and get the standard edition from VS for $35 when it's back in stock and just use the reverse cover art that has the original movie poster, or I guess you can get this release which will probably be $90 like Imprint's other redonkulous priced 4Ks.

Praying this doesn't have a superior encode and extras so I feel justified in buying the Vinegar Syndrome release.

If the Imprint edition has deleted/tv cut scenes then I'd get this too.

It's only good news that there is other options for people.

I wonder if Arrow will release this as a UK only release down the line 🤔

Arrow don't seem to release much Paramount stuff in the UK though. They'd be the obvious preferred choice though.

If they can get deleted scenes and other featurettes then it might be worth a double dip to some collectors. For me personally I'm fine with the VS release but I'm wondering the same thing about Arrow in the UK, if they can get their hands on the extended 3 hour cut then it will blow everyone's minds.

Hopefully a UK label will release this, if not I'm OK with the Vinegar Syndrome LE. I have to admit I prefer the cover of the Imprint, but that's not the most important for me.
PLease correct me but I think the only UK label releasing Paramount stuff lately has been 101 Films?
