Monster From the Ocean Floor (1954) Blu-ray (Film Masters)

Film Masters will be releasing the Roger Corman production Monster from the Ocean Floor (1954) on Blu-ray as a Special Edition release on February 4th. It'll be sourced from a new 4K scan from the original camera negative. No release date, or what extras will be included yet, but I'll update the post when that info comes in.

Special Edition Release: Up from the forbidden depths comes a Tidal Wave Of Terror! If that sounds like an ad for a Roger Corman production, it is! Julie, an American on vacation in Mexico, spots a giant, one-eyed amoeba rising from the ocean, but when she tries to warn others, no one believes her... or do they? Julie persists in her mission to help the local townspeople, but the closer she gets to unearthing the monster, the more danger awaits! Note on Extras: Film Masters now have two different lists of extras. One originally posted at MovieZyng, and a 2nd posted at their site that lists two new documentaries from Ballyhoo Motion Picture. The 2nd list does not include the Humphreys interview, nor the archival interview with Corman, so I'm unsure if these are still being included or not

Final details on extras are now up at Film Masters. The release will include two new documentaries produced by Ballyhoo Motion Pictures, one on Roger Corman, and another on Bob Baker. The original list of extras listed a New interview with author Justin Humphreys on the career of Bob Baker, but that one doesn't appear on the site.

They were doing 2-disc sets with two movies that you could get for $20 or less on release date. This seems like a price hike for a single movie/disc, maybe they are trying to recoup the costs of the documentaries?

Looks to be the same MSRP as their other single releases (Scarlet Letter, Tormented, etc.) Their double features are $5 more in MSRP.
