Fantastic film. Those colors would look magical with HDR.

I have been patiently waiting for Criterion to release this but, I suppose a Second Sight release will do.

"Anora" is very good, but "The Florida Project" is my favorite Sean Baker film.

Not too surprising, Second Sight also did his previous film, Tangerine (only on BD sadly), so it's safe to say they have a good relationship with him. Could see them getting around to Red Rocket eventually.

The upgrade from a 2018 Lionsgate BD to an FiM-encoded Second Sight release is going to be astounding.

I was lucky enough to have seen it when it came out. The outdoor shots are going to be stunning on 4k UHD. Hopefully, we get Dolby Vision in addition to HDR.

Even ANORA is HDR only so I would not count on it, but maybe given most Second Sight 4Ks are DV.

A24 has no interest in licensing out their films besides UNCUT GEMS (Netflix likely helped). More likely they put out a Collector's Edition 4K themselves.

I believe the Safdies pushed for Uncut Gems getting Criterion treatment, otherwise A24/Lionsgate wouldn’t have done jank all. Sean Baker has a pull with Criterion so I’d hope he’d push A24/Lionsgate for licensing The Florida Project and maybe even Red Rocket for Criterion.

It’s possible but I think if that were the case, we'd have already seen MOONLIGHT.

I'm still waiting on Four Letter Words to come from Criterion; hopefully we hear about that before the end of the year.

I can imagine they'd be saving that for the 10th anniversary in 2026, either from Criterion or A24 themselves. That and Barry Jenkins was pretty busy for a while with Mufasa.
