My vote for Blu-ray of the year 07 is Spiderman 3. Sony did a great job encoding this movie on Blu-ray. The PQ and SQ are both 5/5 on this movie. Spiderman 3 rocks my system - plain and simple.

As a complete package: Ratatouille. There is nothing to complain about on this disc. It even got rid of that stupid swoosh on the cover.

I agree with OP. Close Encounters of the Third Kind was the best blu-ray release of the year. It exhibited great PQ and AQ on a great movie, implimented seamless branching so we got all 3 versions and had excellent bonuses. No other movie did all those things.

Taking into consideration the age of some of these movies, I would go with Close Encounters and Blade Runner, the restorations were so amazing that they looked like they released this year.

I agree with Close Encounters as a movie, as far as TV shows, it's Lost Season 3 hands down. I have never seen it look so incredible, it blew away the HD showing on ABC.
