I wonder what happen to the HDDVD version. Is it scrapped due to the death of HDDVD?

I know that. I'm just wondering about the HD version, thats all.
I was planning to get the HD version, but now that HDDVD is dead, I'm not so sure about getting it because the Blu version is so much more satisfying. Although, Blu is a little too pricey than HDDVD. Freakin hard decision.

It is region A so it will play in American blu ray players.
Good find.

I enquired about the USA HD DVD the same time as enquiring about the Initial D blu-ray's region coding,(Region free), and was told that it's been delayed due to the 'shift' in the HD market. Personally, I don't see it being released and a BD coming out sometime later in the year. Tai Seng will probably port the HK disc across, the lack of extras listed worries me, though.

It more than likely will be region free, mate. I think just about all of the HK discs released haven't been coded, so this would be a rare instance. Unfortunately we're going to have to wait until it's released to find out, but Flash Point,(cracking disc), from the same label wasn't coded, so here's hoping. If it's coded don't worry, Tai Seng WILL release a non-coded USA post later in the year. Mint!

Where did you get that info from, sky captain?
That is disappointing news if this is true. I wanted to buy those 2 movies.

Donnie Yen seems to be stuck in this tough guy cop persona since Sha Po Lang. Sometimes that's fine but Dragon Tiger Gate is on the cheesy side as it is, especially so given the high concern the main cast seems to have for their coiffures.

Donnie Yen excels in these roles, I could watch endless Inspector Ma movies, it could even be a franchise. DTG has some great fights, although the main villain went a bit too Power Rangers for my liking.

I hope it is true. Very quick turn around for Tai Seng now, they'll no longer have to create their own disc, just port the HK release. Bear in mind that their DVD release of DTG had improved ENG subs. This saves me even more money this month, so I can wait to May. Top stuff!

Actually only Dragon tiger gate was delayed. I just checked Buy.com and they have Initial D in stock. I wonder if Amazon are going to release it as schedule.

I never mentioned Initial D being delayed. My own copy shipped out a week a go. Crossed wires somewhere.

Ohh, sorry. I guess I have to wait for the Blu version for DTG now. HDDVD leaves a bad taste in my mouth ever since their "death".

Now if only Tai Seng would bring out Dragon Inn & A Touch of Zen. I'm still stuck with the original dvds which weren't remastered in any way and weren't anamorphic.
