I love well-done wushu movies and I was really wanting to add this to my BD collection. Wasn't it supposed to be one of the first releases so what the heck happened to it? Does anyone have any news?

If the delay is to make a quality transfer (more like Kung Fu Hustle than like House Of Flying Daggers) I don't mind so much but the lack of news on a release date is annoying me

I really, really want this movie as well as Hero, Fearless (too bad that's Universal), Seven Swords (Universal too arrgh!), and a few others.

Yeah, I wonder why it was among the Sony titles delayed. I hope it comes sooner than later.

I swear I've already seen it on a few shelves here in Toronto... unless my mind is going on me... which is quite possible.

Unfortunately I think it was a mind trick. I am looking for this as well. Amazon has it listed, but you can't preorder it and there is no release date

I saw it in three stores here in Toronto this past Saturday.

It's listed in the tier system so obviously it was released at some point.

HMV at Yonge and Dundas, Sam The Record Man (same intersection basically), FutureShop at Yonge & Empress Walk (North of Sheppard) and Worlds Biggest Bookstore around the corner from Sams and HMV.

Trust me... I saw it on Saturday but didn't pick it up because I heard the rez wasn't anything great.

Hmmm... gone now. House of Flying Daggers is on there. I wonder then, if Crouching Tiger copies I saw are Illegal discs... well, I'm not taking the chance and buying one!

That tier system list is inaccurate. Look at this segment:

The Dirty Dozen hasn't been released on Blu-ray yet

The little bit I seen of Full Metal Jacket didn't look bobbed AT ALL, looked just grainy and fine.

And The Fifth Element, heh I'm always amazed at what they say about that disc. The credits sequence is from a dupe element (New titles superimposed on them?) but after it ends the movie looks just fine, if not the ubbermost one in the world.

Sometimes makes me wonder on what equipment are these people watching those Blu-rays on. 480i CRTs? 720 LCDs that bob 1080i? etc.
