Does anybody have any information regarding this film coming to Blu-ray Disc?

It has the wildest sounding gun fight I have ever heard

The sound design is reference and I always use this movie to demo my system.

I would really like to own this one with HD picture and loss-less sound

I would love this pic as well. One of my favorites. I don't think there is any release info yet, Buena Vista might make it sooner than later though...

Brilliant western. Brutal gunfights, they way the SHOULD look and sound onscreen.

We sure could use some first rate westerns like Open Range. A definate purchase for me if it became available.

Is it my imagination or was there some info released a while back concerning this movie being released sometime this year?

I only found a few threads on this, but I am almost certain that a release date was given on this movie.

Oh yeah... I would be all over this movie.

Duvall and Costner do an excellent job, and the gun fire in this movie is the most realistic that I've ever heard. If you ever fired a rifle, handgun, or a shotgun in real life you know how loud they actually are.

I agree with Open Range and all of Hollywood81's choices with Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid thrown in.

This site shows it was to be released in 2007.

I'd love to have it on BD; hope it gets a release before the next big thing comes along...

Open Range gets my vote. I just finished Brimstone which is the last book in the Apaloosa trilogy. I'd love to see Resolution and Brimstone made with the same crew as Apaloosa. Even Renee as Mrs French because she's not a very likable character.

Is Open Range somehow related to Brimstone and Apaloosa? I haven't seen Apaloosa yet.

Open Range is one of the best Westerns of recent years, if not THE best. I don't know what's keeping the Blu, as everyone else has said, this would be a reference-quality disc and a day-one buy.

This is in my to ten fav movies.
Charlie Waite is one of my favorite characters and how he starts the gunfight at the movie climax explains why-taking care of business.

It's just my opinion but I was severely disappointed in appaloosa.
