Can anyone confirm if this fixes the Sunshine freeze problem? I read over at AVS Forum that the update fixed the RE:E TrueHD problem and the LFE problem.

Can't wait to test tonight!!!

There was about a 5 BD LFE drop when playing blu-ray movies with PCM audio. True-HD and DTSHD- MA were ok.

Where does it freeze in Sunshine? I am running FW1.3, and didn't experience any freeze issue with Sunshine.

I am going to upgrade to 1.6 anyhow, as I do have the audio problem with RE:E.

Does anyone know about the freeze problem with Pixar short films?

So what was the HDMI compatability issue that this update fixed? Mine is still only version 1.2 and I have had no issues.

Fixed in 1.6

- Playback of Sunshine is now 100% correct with DTS HD MA 'Bitstreaming'
- Playback of Resident Evil 3 now in TrueHD 'Bitstreaming'
- Correction of the PCM LFE (Sub) Level in HDMI, now is correct (previous firmware is -5db lower than it should be
- HDMI synch with Samsung TV now corrected and working

My friend confirmed that the Sunshine freeze problem is fixed too. He did not specify where it freezes; rather, it freezes in a few spots making the movie unwatchable. It has been confirmed that the RE:E True_HD problem is resolved. I am not sure about the Pixar short films problems...

Kudo's to Panasonic.

Sweet, can't wait to watch RE 3. Been waiting for fix before I watched it. Curious, what happened to 1.5?

The LFE fix needed a complete ReWrite of the OS (according to the beta tester on Avsforum).. IMHO it should have been a 2.0

You mean like Update No Good?

Power down the unit and check the version.
You might have a bum copy.
If so try burning it at a slower speed.
