My HDTV's native resolution is 1080i i haven't seen an actual Blue Ray movie at 720p. Again how does a 1366 x 768 resolution 720p Plamsa Tv look when watching a Blue Ray movies? Some feed back will be really appreciated.

It will depend on your set. By the native resolution of your monitor, I know you have some kind of LCD display. The picture quality will depend a lot on the aulity of the scaling and deinterlacing in your monitor. If you have a quality monitor, send a 1080i signal to your monitor and let it deinterlace and scale. If the deinterlacer in your set isn't that great, then send a 720p signal and have the monitor scale that to its native resolution. Either way, you'll get the best picture your set can display.

When I first hooked up my player to my 1080i Sony 40LCD and plugged in Cars I immediately went "WOW". Problem was, it made me lust for 1080p....2 months later I drop the cash for the 46" XBR. It should look great on your set.

If your set is 1366x768 then your native resolution is NOT 1080i and it also cannot display a 1080i signal properly.
You need a panel with 1080 lines of resolution to display a 1080i signal properly and also one that will scan the panel in an interlaced fashion. I'm not aware of any plasma sets that are not progressive panels. ![]() Just because it accepts a 1080i signal does not mean you're seeing all the resolution 1080i offers. You need a 1080i CRT or a 1080p HDTV for that. |

I have a 65" RPTV that is 1080p and a infocus 4805 projector that is not hd compatible. I am looking to get a hd projector. But, don't have the dough for a true 1080p projector. Will I see a big difference between the 720p and the 1080p? I assume either will look a lot better than the standard dvd's my projector plays now?
