Default Quickfix to blu-ray regions issue for laptops

Hi all, was ignorant enough to fiddle with the regions setting on my HP Pavilion dv9750us because the discs I got wouldn't play (turns out dual-monitor mode isn't supported in blu-ray mode --that was the only problem), so I ended up getting locked into Region C when I needed to be in A. I solved this by using the windows Restore utility to bring my laptop state to what it was before I started trying to play blu-ray and now it works fine.
Question though, is there any way to disable the locking thingy so I can play movies from other regions w/o having to go thru the Restore hassle? BTW, I am using the supplied HP quickplay software which I think uses Cyberlink Power DVD, but tweaked for HP. OS is Windows Vista Home premium. Any recos too for a better blu-ray play software? Cheers!

Default Re: Blu ray regions

I have just purchased a new Vaio AR series laptop and tried out the BD player. When it showed me the limit of 5 changes, it gave me the jitters. I bought the laptop and a Blu ray disc in US, and brought it to NZ where I live. I will be going to India, where I am from originally.

So if I change the regions back and forth every time I travel, then will the 5th change be the last? Does it mean that I cannot play other regions later?

Is there a fix for this, as I intend to travel quite a bit.

This is one of significant issues with region coding system. I don't think there is a solution to this problem.

Are you saying Blu Ray cannot be played from a laptop to a HDTV?

No, you can't have 2 monitors active at the same time
