Looks like another 4.5 star rating from High Def Digest, then Bracke says 'The Devil Wears Prada' just may be the most fun you'll have on Blu-ray all season. Anyways Fox has delivered another great title,now if they'd just release Aliens I'd be thrilled

I don't know if the pre-order price still applies but at J&R Music, it's US$18 for the BD.

I ordered two - two is the maximum!

I would get it just to see Anne Hathaway in all of her Hi-Def glory.

I picked this up for the wife who was begging me to see this last summer when it came out but we never made it to the theater. This is one amazing transfer. I have to say that it is absolutely reference and I would even use it for demo material. I only looked at the disc and since we will be having movie night on Friday so I can't comment on the film itself. The PQ is absolutely perfect.

so im bumping a 3 year old thread... but I just watched this for the first time and was amazed... Streep is as amazing as all the reviews said.. I laughed, felt pain... great movie.. I recomend everyone pick it up via AMZ Chick Flick 3 Pack for 22.99 along with 27 dresses and Juno:

yeah the PQ was very good... I actually bought the pack to watch Juno and Dresses again (and then prob. trade em off) but man this film was so great!

Your reaction is correct though since the other person's post was a little much.

Anyways, I have this movie because I'm a big Anne Hathaway fan, but I still haven't watched it yet. I'm going to have to fix that very soon.

I enjoyed this movie much more than I thought I would. I'm female but usually skip what are obvious "chick flicks." This movie had enough going both story and character-wise to keep me interested. And Simon Baker is to the ladies what AH is to you guys

Yep. I'm sure that's a big reason why The Mentalist is so popular. I'm sure it's a good show and all, but that can't hurt to get a lot of women to watch.

He's definitely easy on the eyes, but The Mentalist is the first TV show that he's been in that has really been the right part for him. I'd seen The Guardian a few times, but didn't find him particularly appealing.
Kind of like his role in DWP, The Mentalist has the right mix of easy charm and vulnerability that makes it a great part for him.

(And the whole part in Prada about a certain popular book just cracks me up.)

You're probably right. I wasn't knocking the show at all. I just think the ratings are helped even just a little bit by the whole "women like Simon Baker" factor. I thought he was good in the criminally short lived show Smith as well, although that part was the complete opposite of all of those roles.
