IGN's reviews were always suspect during the Hi Def wars, not favoring Blu, but I thought it was most interesting that they gave the score they did.

By the way, the movie specs were known quite a while ago and yes lossless or PCM was not among them. I still want the movie.

I am picking up for sure. Really liked the first one on S DVD, so should look great on blu.

I watched this last night (not in HD though) and it's a good movie. I prefer the first one though. I still can't wait to get my Blu-ray copy though, so I can watch it in HD.

Gah - the pictures for it look so fantastic; that even though I've never watched an anime in my life, I'm still picking this up. I liked Final Fantasy, so I'm going to assume I would like this one - never blind bought something on the first day of its release, but I am definitely excited for this purchase.

Best buy has it for 24.99, throw in some of those blu ray coupons and its cheaper than amazon.

I just received my copy of Appleseed and on the back it says that English audio is the only one in Dolby Digital 5.1 and Jap is only in 2.0... What gives? Are there two version or something... I didn't play it yet so it might a print error on the box, I don't know... but so you know guys, box says DD5.1 English only.

According to one review I've read there's a misprint on the packaging. The Japanese language track should be 5.1.
