Default Gattaca Review @ High-def-digest

Here is the review:
http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/178/gattaca.html

I can't wait to get my hands on this. Dang near reference grade PQ transfer on an old title.

What about 24-bit audio? They've stopped with PCM 24-bit, but it seems they've also stopped with 24-bit audio. Is suboptimalisation the new trend???

Did Paidgeek ever answer if it was going to be region free or not? For some stupid reason it doesn't have a UK release!

Here's the back cover for it and it certainly seems to indicate region free (bottom right ABC), so it looks like you're in luck. I believe Sony's policy is no region coding for catalog titles.

Ahh thank you very much. eBay it is! My importer doesn't have it listed for some reason.

Not all movies have a 24-bit audio track available.

Glad to see it received such a great review...

However I'm confused about the ranking for extras. It mentions further down that it has about 4 extras...yet it only got HALF a star for extras? Is it because most of them are in SD?

If someone could clarify that I'd be grateful. Do they rank it on how many extras it has or the picture of them?

Anyone have any clue how much this title might be on release day at Wal-Mart?

Most catalog releases have been $24.96 at Wal-Mart. Though some have been on sale for $19.96 in the first week.

I'll definitely be picking this one up. This month is gonna be expensive!
