Default Onkyo speakers

I am curious if anyone out there is using Onkyo speaker systems. Specifically, i am interested in these, as they can be purchased reasonably enough right now. I am currently using an older 5 speaker rig that is pieced together. We are re-doing the den, so I need a better looking, better matched set. I don't need audiophile quality, but I do want value.

I am currently using a Yamaha but will also be switching to the Onkyo 705 receiver.

I have an Onkyo 5.1 speaker set that's about 5 years old now. I picked it up at Fry's for about $200-250. I would definitely recommend Onkyo for anyone who's looking to get a system that's good enough in quality but not crazy in price. To put it another way, I have no plans or desire to buy new speakers anytime soon. My speakers are similar in size, shape and numbers of drivers per speaker to the set you linked to. Actually, I'm pretty sure the model of my set is SKS-HT500, so that set is probably the newer and beefier version of what I've got. I have my two surrounds set to +1dB to bring them up a bit and I recently replaced the subwoofer with an Elemental Designs sub to keep up with lossless audio bass . My set only had an 8" sub though so I'm sure you'll be much better off with the 10" in that set. Anyway, to sum everything up, I highly doubt you will be disappointed with that Onkyo set.
