Every time I watch this movie ( it is on now on one of the HBO Channels ) it blows me away how phenomenal that the movie is.
Jean Reno is always gold, Gary Oldman is beyond awesome, and Natalie Portman is amazing.
This really can not hit blu fast enough.

You mean the original uncut film "Leon" or do you mean the watered down version "the professional"

This is another title I'd consider double-dipping for. The Professional is an awesome movie despite its pedophilic undertones.

It could be seen that way, but IMO i think its more in tune with loneliness, inner child etc.

The other Jean Reno film I'd love to have on Blu is Ronin. If I had it, I'd through my DVD copy straight in the trash.

It's a very difficult film to explain you have a young girl forced to grow up because her entire family is killed and you have this man who never got a chance to grow up because he became a killer at an early age. The only people they have in the world is each other but they can't act on any of it because by the standards of the rest of the world it is an impure, disgusting, unthinkable love. In the end they love each other because they are a reflection of each other.

Where you from? Ronin's out in Europe, awesome film, good PQ and great AQ.

Hell I triple dipped it, I bought The Professional (theatrial vers.), then I bought Leon (extended vers.), then I bought Leon again on Superbit. Plus I have it on LD, and when it hits blu I'll buy it in a heartbeat. One of my all time favorites.

Is Leon the UK version? Or the uncut version?

Leon is the uncut version. It's one of my all time favorites, so I'd buy the chopped up American release of "The Professional," but I hope to God they save me the trouble of a double dip and go straight with the uncut "Leon."

Very good movie.
It looked great on DVD, can't wait for it on Blu!
It'll be a release date purchase for sure!
And yes, it better be Leon, and not The Professional.

I remember seeing this overseas, before it was ever the professional. I belioeve it was just called Leon. I didn't enjoy it as much when it came out in the US. I hope we will get the original version when this comes out on blu..

With Taken coming out soon, I'd really like to see an accelerated schedule for this movie being released on Blu.

Brilliant movie. I love it. More sweet to me than creepy. And the cast is amazing.

I LOVE this movie! Has always been one of my favorites. I still have held off buying though waiting for a blu-ray release.
