That looks like it may be a ram address or three. Do you have any ram that you know is good? you might try swapping in the good ram and see if it will boot.

Many new machines don't come with Recovery Media.
The very first thing that usually popsup(at least on my last two VAIOs) is "Create Recovery Media Now!" - or something to that effect. I did!

You might be able to call and request a Recovery Set... for a price.

you'll need a CD to restore it. try to order it first. your problem might be related to any hardware. (I had hardware problem, and can't start my computer until I repair/disable it) As somebody suggest, the problem might lies in Memory (most likely possibility if you are not able to repair the computer using recovery CD).

Some have the Os installed on the computer and you have to press certain buttoms to activate it. I know Dell and Sony do but not sure about Gateway, Maybe you can read the manual that came with it or ask gateway.

That error message is an unmountable boot volume.

Probably some corruption on the hard drive, or the hard drive is going bad altogether.

Get a hold of anyone's XP cd (or Vista), boot to it, select the recovery console, and run:
chkdsk /p /r
