It's pretty impressive if you like animation styles. The bulk of the film is fairly dark - taking place in dimly lit interiors and night scenes but the most impressive scenes are in the last third where he battles the dragon/son in daylight. I liked it. Quite gory for little kids though, just an FYI.

I am not a fan of this type of CGI work and the film is not that great. The animation kind of creeps me out for some reason. It is a definite rental just to see the Angelina and the dragon scenes.

Is that a Region Free Blu-Ray? If so, someone needs to start Importing it right away.

Waiting to confirm the region-free...it should be since it's Warner over there -- but I'm too timid to buy it without a confirmation.

Doesn't matter -- there are a ton of flicks from overseas (both directions) with region codes on the back saying one thing or the other that still wind up being region free. The only way to confirm it is to slap it in a player and find out for sure whether it is what it says it is. ie. My copies of "30 Days of Night" and "No Country For Old Men" -- both are Region A according to the package, but both have been confirmed region free.

Incidentally, where did you see a shot of the back of the box? Do you have it? Or if it's on a website I'd like to see that myself! (not that I doubt that's what it says, I just want to see the back of the box)

in hmv its 50 euro so i did not pick it up prices of blu-rays in ireland are a joke il have it on wensday i just bought it on line.

I have it pre-ordered on sendit.com and it's costing me £17.89 in the UK with no postage. A lot cheaper than play.com. If you're going to import it I'd get it from there instead.
