Default Is this a good deal or should I get a Sharp Aquos?

http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...32RV530&tp=161

I'm looking to replace the 30" Samsung CRT tv in my bedroom, partly due to the fact that the picture is screwed up, and was wondering if this was a good deal. I'm not too familiar with Toshiba LCD's, so I was thinking of going with either this or a Sharp Aquos 32" 1080p LCD. What do you guys think?

I have the Sharp 32" -- I'm really quite fond of my little HDTV. I got it at Christmas and I think the picture if fantastic. I might be biased though.

Thanks for the link. I noticed it wasn't in stock at crutchfield, but it will be a while before I pick up a new tv. I was looking to see what everyone's opinions were regarding these two LCD's.

Personally, I haven't heard a lot of good things about the Toshibas, but Sharp is certainly one of the better brands out there.

If I was gonna do an Aquos LCD... i'd check out the 92U models. 3000:1 contrast ratio... maybe a better picture. My First LCD TV was Aquos 62U... a slight disappointment.

I would personally not go with the Toshiba, I think the Sharp is the better brand. if you could though I would end look for either a Sony or Samsung unless your hell bend on having 1080p on a 32" set.

The Toshiba, while decent for an LCD in that class and pricepoint does not have the best viewing angles off-center and the black levels leave a lot to be desired.

I think the 32" Sharp LC32D62U Aquos would be a better bet.

Part of why I was going with a 1080p set, is to have something future proof, and it's going into my bedroom, which is not that big.
