Default Sony support question

Okay. here is the deal. I'm thinking about getting a new 46XBR5 from Sony. I can get it at an unbelievable price through connections, and no, it isn't a refurb, but I am kind of unsure about getting something like an HDTV from an internet site instead of a brick and mortar store. In the store I can actually take it back and yell at someone if necessary. That isn't necessarily the case when you get something from the internet. So, my question is this, does Sony back their stuff well and how good are they about sending someone out to fix the TV, or even replace it if necessary? Also, how hard is it to get them to send someone out if needed?

Thanks.

Some places aren't official Sony reps or what not and I believe those websites like this one most likely isn't a Sony sponsored site, so if they are not then I don't believe Sony will back the product...not for sure though...and how come for the XBR-5 and not the XBR-4???

First, the TV is coming directly from Sony. Second, I am getting it for a price so low that I'm very reluctant to mention in public.

One hint, I have a relative very high up in the company. I can get the 46XBR5 for only $150 more than and the 40XBR5 from the same source and only $100 more than I can get the 40XBR4 locally at the best sale price I have ever seen.

Sony replaced my XBR2 directly because of the clouding issues. I even had a 5 year warrenty from the store.

It took months of fighting, but they sent me a brand new one.
