Saw the film last night at a special screening with the director and thought it was a great resurrection of the old zombie flicks, but because its a scarcely limited release I'm beginning to think it wont see a high def release for a long long time

Well if you saw it with the Director why didnt you ask him if it will be on BD insted of makeing another usless when is it coming to BD thread

Exactly! Why didn't you ask the director if it's going to be on blu-ray??? Perhaps, I prefer to see zombie movies in blu-definition

Diary Of The Dead blu-ray is scheduled to be released June 30th, 2008 in the U.K. It probably will be region free...

Diary is Weinstein, who recently is said to be supporting Blu in the second half of this year. So maybe later this year in the U.S.

Cool, how does something like that work? Do they rent the theater for the night so they can control who sees it with the director, do you have to know someone to get invited, does he talk about the movie afterwards, etc.?

That would be a good pick up in Blu-ray. I love Zombie movies...

However, like everything else there is no way of knowing when it will be released in the US.

Saw this Friday night and loved it. The director wasn't there or anything. My theater just happened to get one of the limited prints showing right now. If this comes to blu I will pick it up for the Amish guy alone.
