Screen name question - Blu-ray Forum

Did a search and nothing.

Anyway, if I change PS3 consoles, will all of my items bought with my screen name on PS3 A work on PS3 B using the same screen name. I am guessing it will work.

yes it will but if you are not keeping console a make sure to deactivate the console before you get rid of it. you are limited to a total of 5 active consoles.

good thing too because I was looking into buying my 5th PS3 and it was scared that I wouldnt be able to use it!!!

Sony should add a manual option like iTunes' where you can deauthorise all authorised machines once a year or more incase you forget to deauthorise a machine before giving it away etc.

It'd also be a good way of deterring people from 'sharing' paid-downloads as there's always the risk that someone will deauthorise all other machines. I suppose there's already a lot of risks in sharing an account so maybe it wouldn't make that much difference.

I just don't want to lose all of my Game purchases when I swap HDD's. I deleted all of the games I purchased and went to the download list and I can still download them. Pretty cool. Just wanted to clarify it will work that way on another console with my screen name of course.. Thanks to all that helped

How would you go about de-authoring from the old console

On the PS3 you want to deactivate:

PLAYSTATION Network > Account Management > Account Management > Activate System > PLAYSTATION 3 (This System) > Deactivate System
