American History X this year? - Blu-ray Forum

This is one of the best movies i've ever seen but i avoided buying the DVD cause i was looking for a 2-disc special edition or something like that but later found out that nothing like that existed just a 1-disc normal DVD with the trailer and a couple deleted scenes.
Keeping in mind that this year will be the 10th Aniversary of the movie does anyone know if New Line have any plans of releasing a special edition or even releasing it on Blu-Ray as this would make sense

I read an interview with the director Tony Kaye on the Onion AV Club last year and he mentioned working on a new DVD edition of the movie. I haven't heard anything since.

Nothing has been announced, but it will be released sooner or later.

American History X is one of my favorite movies. I hope it gets released on Blu soon. I would nab it up as soon as possible.

I've not heard anything either, but most people who have seen it thought the movie was very good.

I thought it was exceptional... Pre-order-Worthy!

I would like to see this on Blu. Really liked it when I was younger.. saw it again when I was older and it was kind of cheesy overall but still a strong flick.

Ed Norton is one of the best actors out there. The fact that he can play someone like Derek in American History X as well as The Illusionist really shows off his versatility.

Great movie. Edward Norton's performance was outstanding. I usually don't like Fairuza Balk(sp?) but she was a good fit for that roll. I would totally buy it on Blu.
