Smile Lights that go behind HDTV

Hi kids,

Got a quick question...

Someone posted a light strip for iluminating the wall behind your HDTV as it's mounted on the wall. My question... does anyone recall seeing this post besides me? I think it was from IKIA but not sure... I'm going to IKIA tomorrow and want to pick one up if I can find out if it is from there. I looked at their site and didn't find anything. Also did a search on these forums and didn't find anything either...

Any help would be GREAT.

thanks...

Thanks Brian... I have some lights behind my speakers beside my TV and was trying to figure out weather to put a frame around it or what. Then I saw your post and thought it would really accent my front wall with TV and speakers glowing...

Thanks again.

i saw them at IKEA the other day. they even come in blue, which would go nice seeing that we are all Blu-ray fans

i dont mount my TV on the wall so i was wrestling with how to use these lites behind my TV. i have some halogens on a dimmer behind and above the TV which provide a nice effect when the rest of the room is dark. if the lights are too bright, they can be a lil distracting. i was hoping that these lights from IKEA would work out better.

if anyone has any pics to share their ideas and setup using lights, that would be greatly appreciated

I posted some pics with those exact lights too. I love them and everyone compliments the idea. I think they ran about $40-50; 4 stripes come in each package.

To help put less strain on your eyes. You're not supposed to watch TV in total darkness.

Actually the more light sources the more strain on your eyes. You may not notice it but your eyes have to focus and refocus constantly when you have multiple lights on in a room.
