Default Which Blu-ray do you feel has the best PQ?

I am curious to hear what other people think on this. In my opinion, the three best-looking movies I have seen are:

1. I, Robot
2. Casino Royale
3. 300

There are many that are simply outstanding, but these three have really jumped out at me as having exceptional picture quality. I simply cannot wait for a few movies that are coming in the next couple of months.

Crank and Condemned have exceptional PQ as far as that 'holy crap factor.' But they're not too loved as movies.

Pirates of the Carib 1-3 have wonderful PQ - 3:10 to Yuma and No Country for Senior Citizens do too.

3:10 to Yuma and NCFOM are definitely up there. 300 was a little grainy, but I understand that it was the style of the movie.

I also think there are a lot of animation films, such as Cars and Ice Age that look great. Another movie I liked was Casino Royale and Gone Baby Gone...geez...it's hard to choose...I guess I can go on and on.

But one recent movie I wasn't impressed with the PQ was Dan in Real Life. What was up with the PQ in that movie?

I rented the DVD and saw the Blu preview on a Blu-Ray. Trust me, the Blu-Ray looked beautiful compared to the DVD.

I'm sure it looks a lot better than the standard DVD (that's obvious). But according to Blu Ray standards, I thought it was sub-par.

Welcome to the site.

It's getting harder and harder to choose now that so many have really good PQ. I, Robot should probably be at the top of my list as well but I just wanted to use a new 3 this time, just to mix it up some.

The Water Horse
30 Days of Night
Starship Troopers (import)

Starship Troopers probably doesn't have 5/5 PQ throughout the whole movie but some scenes are so spectacular, I'm listing it in the top 3 anyway.

Just watched I, Robot on BD. Aye, it qualifies as 'purty'.

I'd say Blade Runner 5 disc SE has the best PQ I've seen so far.
