Its just more proof that the "other" side has nothing but lies to back up everything they say or do. Means nothing else.

I'm so sick of guys I know, when I mention the PS3, say something like, "Aren't Sony going out of buisness" or "Aren't Sony having problems making PS3's" implying there will be an increased delay before they get to us in Australia.

Some hard numbers, like these, will go a long way to convince them that there is nothing wrong.

Being it was a year late Im sure their responces are valid if they are not into the electronic scene... It really didnt help sony with the battery recall that still might end up closing their sec(or sce or whatever cant remember) division which includes the PS developments.

It's nice to hear a bit a good news for Sony with all the recent troubles they have had. I've always been a big fan of all Sony products.

Sony will do well in 2007, the EU launch of the PS3 will be god for the, as EU is always their strongest territory. The Walkman Phones will outsell the ludicrously priced iPhone, Bravia TVs will continue to be the market leader in NA/EU/JPN, Spiderman will make $1bn in total, and big 2nd party games are coming out for the PS3. The PS2 will continue to be the biggest selling console and will make even more money for Sony, balancing the loss from the PS3. Sony BMG artists will do well, lots of UK indie bands have recently been signed. Sony bank will continue to bring in the bacon, $1.3bn profit from them alone in 2006. Sony will continue to develop OLED and FED TVs, further increasing their innovation and reputation within the TV world.

Toshiba on the other hand will struggle to keep offering their products at such a low price, their TVs suck so will not get anywhere, they have no movie studio, no recording studio, they make the Zune, which sucks and they don't make any phones. SED is still not making any money for them, rumour is that Canon are irritated by the lack of progress made by Toshiba, and may be looking for a new partner as they hold most of the IP behind SED.

It seems that the roles will be reversed in 2007, with Sony on the rise, and Toshiba struggling, how will this affect the format war, I couldn't say as the BDA have more than one ginourmous company behind it, but HD DVDs future is not looking to rosy at the moment.
