Does the PS3 do BD-Live? - Blu-ray Forum

As of now, I'm not so sure, but future firmware updates will enable to do so.

that's my understanding, can't remember where I read it, but right now the BD live is still being finalised or something, but PS3 can be updated as and when required.

The fact of the matter is that the PS3 is the #1 HD playing unit in the world as of this moment. So anything they release HAS to work on the PS3 at a bare minninum. So expect it to work for sure.
