I'm tempted to sell my 40gb version and pick up this bundle. Only because of the backward compatibility with older PS titles.

There already was. If the steel gets sold in the us it will be very very limited.

Well, this will be a good deal for me because in the past month I was forced to sell my 60 GB PS3 to pay a stupid bill. IMO, I'd say this is a much better deal than the previous one.
