sigelectronics.com has unbelievable prices on blu rays (most often they are better than amazon.com!) anyway, do you think i could get best buy to price match so i dont have to pay sig's 7.99 shipping fee

best buy has a policy that states: "should you find a lower advertised price, including those on the internet from an authorized Canadian Dealer, we will match that price and beat it by giving you an additional 10% of the difference."


so what is "authorized" exactly?

because sig has 2 store locations and an online store, so would this work? ive never asked for a price match before, how do you do it?

They might not do it because of the shipping charge. If they do price match, they might take the $7.99 into account. So, let's say that you plan on buying 4 Blu-ray that have chepear prices on sigelectronics. They will add $2 per title in order to take that shipping charge into account. Still worth asking though at that price. Good luck to you and let us know how it turns out!!!

To ask for a price match, grab the items that you wish to purchase and go to Customer Service to pay. Mention the price match and they will probably get a manager in order to confirm any validity to the price difference. Sigelectronics will also have to have the title in stock at the time you request price match.

I don't have that info as far as Blu's or "software" but I'm looking at a Yamaha RX-V1800 and I've seen it online for almost 400 dollars less then BestBuy and the dude in the Magnolia Theater shop said he'd only price match Brick and Morter Deals.

If you bring a completely rediculous internet price to PC Richards though they will give you the best price they possibly can on Hardware.

I bought my TV that way. They can't beat the internet price, because there is no overhead with an internet store, but they can get damn close.

I had the sales guy's manager CRYING with my deal

But, in this case, the online prices match the in-store prices for the two locations in Mississauga (a suburb of Toronto). So, he/she should be able to get away with it.

I think alot of the price matching at Best Buy has to do with what manager is there. Cuz I have done price matches from Frys.com, some managers will match and others wont.

I didn't realize until just before my second post in this thread that you were already in Toronto. That's why I originally mentioned the $7.99! In my haste to play more Rock Band I forgot to see where you were typing from.

best buy does not match online retailers, but they will price match target.com which is essentiall amazon.com.
