oxygen free wires helps remove the impurity of iron.
12gauge wire does a better job of conducting a signal over 25ft or more.

I like to think of it as a garden hoes. the thicker the hoes the more water can flow

I've used Aperion speaker cable for both of my home theater systems. It's 12 gauge cable and runs $60/100 feet. I needed 300 feet to wire my basement home theater for 7.1 surround. I use Aperion's banana plugs too.

I had purchased some Monster XL cable from Best Buy and returned it. I'm not a fan of anything Monster. The cable looked thicker than it was because it was double-wrapped. Once I realized how thin the actual wire was- back it went. Interesting taht Monster never labels the gauge of the wire on the packaging. Guess they don't want you to know!

If you don't notice an increase in SQ, either you have crappy speakers ,a crappy reciever , or bad hearing .

That's overpriced wire! Just like Monster's. The Monoprice 12 Guage is a really good deal though. If I ever need speaker wire again, I'll get that!
