Default Help in buying a laptop with blu-ray

I am looking into buying a new laptop and wanted it to contain a blu-ray player/burner. I do not know too much about the specifications of computers and was basically wondering if I need a discrete video card such as NVIDIA or if I can play blu-ray movies with just a integrated video card. I am not planning on using this laptop for gaming or any video editing, just basically office/school work, internet, and occasionally watching blu ray movies. I am planning on getting a Dell with a core 2 duo processor and at least 3 gb of RAM. I just don't know if I should go with the Inspiron or XPS. I'm not sure if the XPS would be worth it for the price difference. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Default Go Sony

Make sure the laptop has at least an Nvida 8400 stand alone video card in it or better. If your going Dell, the XPS is the best choice. Have you considered Sony Vaio's yet? The FZ has a BD hard drive. Sony uses better parts than Dell, and their tech-support is by far the best (just be sure to remove all the cr*ppy software they include and go into msconfig to stop some start up programs).

What's your budget?

I'm currently looking at this system https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=47537

But that is definitely a desktop replacement.

My first choice would be a XPS M1530, but I don't get my business discount on the XPS line.

I just wish there was a MacBook Pro with blu-ray in it...
