Default Opinions??

I have an Onkyo 703 and I'm thinking of upgrading to an 805 for lossless formats. How many have you have made the switch and how great of a difference did you see? I have Polk RTi8's Fxi3's and Csi3 center. Cheap sub that works decently

There is a difference, but if I were you I'd look into upgrading the sub since that seems to be the weak link in the system.

The 805 definitely offers a better sound experience. Also, as stated above by Downhere, a better subwoofer might make a bigger difference.

the 703 model is a few years old now, upgrading to an 705/805 in my oppinion would be a big improvement. Better parts and technology in the newer models.

I plan on upgrading to an ED sub pretty soon. I'm just curious to the difference those have had going from optical connections to HDMI lossless connections have experienced.
