Default Basic Instinct (1992) (Unrated Director's Cut)

Basic Instinct Blu-ray

Basic Instinct Blu-ray Review

I'm watching the Blu-ray version of Basic Instinct on a 58 inch TV.

Of course I'm pausing now and then to examine some details--you know Sharon Stone.

But something that was really cool was I could read all the newspaper clips presented during the film.

For you geeky types, examine the newspaper clippings at 22:02 and again at 47:18. Each newspaper repeats the same two or three paragraphs over and over again in each article. Sort of reminded me of the part in the Shinning in which Jack, in writing his novel, has typed the same phrase over and over for pages on end.

I know this is trivia but at least you have an excuse to watch Basic Instinct again.

No excuses needed for multiple viewings of this one. And it probably won't be for checking out the newspapers either. Good catch on the ambiguous link between this movie and The Shining.

I might actually have to pay attention to the movie and not the other stuff I fast forwarded to when I was teenager!

Gratuitous? Common! That was essential to the plot!

That should be chnaged to at least you have a valid excuse to watch Basic Instinct again other than the standard teenager reasoning if you wife or girlfriend is around.

I need no excuse to watch that movie at any time. Sharon Stone is in it. All of her. That's enough reason.

How can a severely DNR'ed transfer like this receive such praise from people with 50"+ displays?

are we going to start the whole DNR debate like the predator blu allover again?

some people, like you, see dnr and EE and it ruins your experience...other people like me dont even notice that stuff and love the way the picture looks..
so lets just drop it.
