My friend and his cousin hooked up their PS3 to their 42" LG Plasma (one of the models from 2006, we don't know the exact one), and when they watched bluray movies the video looked sped up. They tried multiple blurays and they all did it. They put in a regular dvd and it was fine. My friend also told me that he hooked up his PS3 to his 42" Samsung DLP and the PS3 worked on all discs. Does anyone have any idea why this could have happened? I know he has the most current PS3 update, but could their be an issue with the Plasma?

Sounds like some sort of motion enhancement is on.

No idea, I've never heard of this issue before. That is very odd. Yeah, there is that whole 1.5 speed thing going on.
