Post "Shooter" comes back to Blu-ray May 20th!!

For those who were unable to get Paramount's "Shooter" on Blu-ray before Paramount's defection to HD-DV-"Dead" last year, well, the wait is almost over for some of you, as the movie is already added to the Paramount Blu-ray re-releases on May 20th, along with the long-awaited "Blades of Glory"!

I kind of wish that I've waited until this time to get "Shooter" because I found 1 copy in my entire city at a Blockbuster Video store. Even though it set me back $40, I will say this: It was DAMN...WELL...WORTH...IT!

I liked this movie, but I don't see why people seek it like the Holy Grail.

It's major popularity was only because it was "rare" after Paramount took the bribe.

+1 I was not impressed with this. Just trying to steal some of the Bourne market. Different strokes, to be fair, but I just don't see how anyone could pay over sticker price for this turd.

I grabbed for $20 awhile back luckily and am proud to have it in my collection.

I don't think it is anything like the Bourne series - completely different. Each of them have their unique perspectives - each great in their own right.

I picked it up from Best Buy when it came out. It is still sitting in my collection unopened.

I checked Amazon just for fun early this morning and found "Shooter" on Blu-ray listed as "new" for 23.96 by a seller with very good buyer feedback. I jumped on it immediately and got confirmation of my order. I've never been burned yet buying through Amazon and I am pretty careful who I order from.

PS - just checked back and the lowest price right now on "Shooter" is $44

Interesting - it seems like Amazon wants all the collector-priced copies to flush through the system before they post it for pre-order.

I'm wondering if they will even do a preorder on these. Since they were already available, maybe Amazon will just suddenly have them in stock on the 20th. Or, maybe they'll even have them a bit early? It's not like you can really break the release date on them.
