No sound on some PS3 Games - Blu-ray Forum

Hey guys I'm a new member so sorry if this topic has been posted before. I tried searching but can't find anything about this.

I lose sound on some of my ps3 games. (warhawk and dmc4). Don't know why.
The sound in the warhawk menu plays fine but when i start playing it doesn't work and dmc4 just doesn't work period. This may be do to my new tv, because the sound works on my smaller 22inch insignia, so I'm not sure.

I have a 42inch Toshiba Regza, so if any of you guys could please help me out that would be freaking awesome. If you do help me i will totally travel to your state and personally high five you, then take you to Chilis and get you wasted on girly drinks.

I know that the right speaker will not work on some SDTVs with the PS3 (giving some potential angry moments with Rock Band and GH3), but as this is apparently a HDTV I don't know.

yeah im confused, i changed the audio options on the ps3 to where sound would go through the red and white cables, but still nothing. Maybe i need an optical cable?

Right now i just have it going through the hdmi

Having it go through the HDMI is the best option there is for any HDTV, receiver or not.

Settings > Sound Setttings > Audio Output Settings > HDMI (or whatever you're using) > Manual

What's ticked here?

If you're using the tv's stereo speakers then

Linear PCM 2 Ch. 44.1 kHz and
Linear PCM 2 Ch. 48 kHz

should probably be the only ones ticked.
