Amazon shipping delay on Twister - Blu-ray Forum

Ordered Twister on Sunday, the Bluray was officially released on Tuesday...still nothing in mail. I am shipping my kid's off to their Grand Parents Today came home checked mail no movie...what gives? This is the last time i am going preorder any movie from Amazon. If i wanted to wait this long i wouldn't have preordered it.

Strange. Where do you live? I usually get my pre-orders on Thursday or Friday, depending on if they ship the Monday before release date or on the same Tuesday.

Was it sent with the free shipping by chance? If so, that's the problem. Amazon is terrible when you accept their free shipping offers. I used standard shipping and got my copy of Twister yesterday. Not bad for getting it to Alaska.

It would have been so nice if i had this movie Tonight with the Kid's gone and all. Now i will be lucky if i get it Tomorrow.

Yeah, the free shipping can be pretty slow.

I agree with Don, don't ever take free shipping thats usually the longer time.If you don't see it by the ending of today you probaly won't see it till Monday.

I have order stuff from Amazon and u usually get it in 2 days or so.

They tell you straight out that free shipping is 5-7 business days. Amazon Prime was completely worth it to me. I decided Tuesday I wanted Twister, and it showed up today.

Thanks for the responses Guys, i see my Items have not even been shipped yet.

I didn't know about Amazon's snail mail feature, i will be more careful in the future.

Try to join up with someone's prime account. It's great, they normally ship the day before release and you get it no more than 2 days later.

I live fairly close to you, and have dealt with the Snail Mail Free Shipping before...Just an FYI before you checkout it will tell you the estimated ship date of your item. This will usually be up to a week later if you choose free shipping (You can actually test it by changing your shipping options and your shipping\arrival date will change with the method). If you never have used prime then you probably could get it for free for 3 months. I pay for Prime and find it HIGHLY useful since I order almost all lof my discs from Amazon.

Oh and BTW Amazon has recently opened up a Warehouse in Nashua NH. I have noticed that more and more items start shipping from there so it may be good for us in the future.

Jurassic Pork ordered it for me through his account and I ordered Wed, got Friday, shipped outta the Lexington KY warehouse.

Do you order from Amazon a lot? If so you should definately look into Prime...at $3.00 a pop, it adds up quick. And this is the shipping cost for just movies...

I was about to email them. I preordered it about two months ago, and I was wondering after release why it wasn't even showing in a preparing state.

Mine finally shipped 7 June
